ENROLLED BILL
AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE DANNY L. RADISH HIGHWAY IN LINCOLN COUNTY; DIRECTING THE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INSTALL SIGNS AT THE LOCATION AND TO INCLUDE THE
HIGHWAY ON THE NEXT PUBLICATION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY MAP; AND PROVIDING AN
IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish was born on June 8, 1949, in Minot, North
Dakota; and
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish served in the United States Marine Corps with
distinction; and
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish received the Silver Star for conspicuous
gallantry and intrepidity in action while serving with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron Two Hundred Sixty-
Two, Marine Aircraft Group Sixteen, First Marine Aircraft Wing, in connection with combat operations on
February 12, 1970, in the Republic of Vietnam; and
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for
heroism while serving as crew chief aboard a CH-46E helicopter on the morning of November 15, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Enlisted Aircrewman of the Year Award was established in honor of Master Gunnery
Sergeant Danny L. Radish for the most outstanding contribution by a Marine enlisted aircrewman and is
awarded annually; and
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish has lived in Eureka, Montana, for decades;
and
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish served as the safety director of the mill in
Eureka; and
WHEREAS, Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L. Radish is a respected member of the Eureka
community; and

ENROLLED BILL
WHEREAS, the 69th Legislature of the State of Montana honors Master Gunnery Sergeant Danny L.
Radish for his service to our country.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Danny L. Radish highway. (1) There is established the Danny L. Radish highway on
highway 37 from mile marker 63.6 to mile marker 66.8 in Lincoln County.
(2) The department shall design and install appropriate signs marking the location of the Danny L.
Radish highway.
(3) Maps that identify roadways in the state must be updated to include the location of the Danny
L. Radish highway when the department updates and publishes the state maps.
Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title
60, chapter 1, part 2, and the provisions of Title 60, chapter 1, part 2, apply to [section 1].
Section 3. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
