AN ACT making an appropriation to the Nevada School of the Arts
for its programs and services to promote education in the
arts; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State 1
General Fund to the Nevada School of the Arts the sum of 2
$10,000,000 for its programs and services to promote education in 3
the arts. 4
2. Upon acceptance of the money appropriated by subsection 1, 5
the Nevada School of the Arts agrees to: 6
(a) Prepare and transmit a report to the Interim Finance 7
Committee on or before December 18, 2026, that describes each 8
expenditure made from the money appropriated by subsection 1 9
from the date on which the money was received by the Nevada 10
School of the Arts through December 1, 2026; 11
(b) Prepare and transmit a final report to the Interim Finance 12
Committee on or before September 17, 2027, that describes each 13
expenditure made from the money appropriated by subsection 1 14
from the date on which the money was received by the Nevada 15
School of the Arts through June 30, 2027; and 16
(c) Upon request of the Legislative Commission, make available 17
to the Legislative Auditor any of the books, accounts, claims, 18
reports, vouchers or other records of information, confidential or 19

otherwise, of the Nevada School of the Arts, regardless of their form 1
or location, that the Legislative Auditor deems necessary to conduct 2
an audit of the use of the money appropriated by subsection 1. 3
3. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by 4
subsection 1 must not be co mmitted for expenditure after June 30, 5
2027, by the entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity 6
to which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise 7
transferred in any manner, and any portion of the appropriated 8
money remaining must no t be spent for any purpose after 9
September 17, 2027, by either the entity to which the money was 10
appropriated or the entity to which the money was subsequently 11
granted or transferred, and must be reverted to the State General 12
Fund on or before September 17, 2027. 13
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval. 14
