AN ACT relating to state financial administration; extending the
date of reversion of the appropriations made by the 82nd
Session of the Nevada Legislature to the Nevada Gaming
Control Board and the Interim Finance Committee for the
continuation of the replacement of the Board’s
information technology system and for certain computer
hardware, software, subscriptions, licenses and equipment
and related employee training; and providing other
matters properly relating thereto.
Legislative Counsel’s Digest:
During the 2023 Legislative Session, the Nevada Legislature appropriated from 1
the State General Fund: (1) to the Nevada Gaming Control Bo ard the sum of 2
$8,000,000 for the continuation of the replacement of the Board’s information 3
technology system; (2) to the Interim Finance Committee for allocation to the 4
Nevada Gaming Control Board the sum of $5,500,000 for the continuation of the 5
replacement of the Board’s information technology system; and (3) to the Nevada 6
Gaming Control Board the sum of $1,731,841 for the replacement or purchase of 7
computer hardware, software, subscriptions, licenses and equipment and related 8
employee training. Existin g law requires that the appropriated money revert to the 9
State General Fund on or before September 19, 2025. (Chapter 372, Statutes of 10
Nevada 2023, at page 2002) This bill extends the reversion date to on or before 11
September 18, 2026. 12

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 372, Statutes of Nevada 2023, 1
at page 2002, is hereby amended to read as follows: 2
Sec. 3. Any remaining balance of the appropriations 3
made by sections 1 , 1.5 and 2 of this act must not be 4
committed for expenditure after June 30, [2025,] 2026, by the 5
entity to which the appropriation is made or any entity to 6
which money from the appropriation is granted or otherwise 7
transferred in any manner, and any portion of the 8
appropriated money remaining must not be spent for any 9
purpose after September [19, 2025,] 18, 2026, by either the 10
entity to which the money was appropriated or the entity to 11
which the money was subsequently granted or transferred, 12
and must be reverted to the State General Fund on or before 13
September [19, 2025.] 18, 2026. 14
Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval. 15
