AN ACT relating to state emblems; designating the Picon Punch as
the official state drink of the State of Nevada; and
providing other matters properly relating thereto.
Legislative Counsel’s Digest:
Existing law establishes v arious symbols of the State of Nevada, including, 1
without limitation, the designation of the state song, the state march, the state 2
artifact, the state tartan and the state locomotive. (NRS 235.020 -235.140) This bill 3
designates the traditional Basque drink known as the Picon Punch as the official 4
state drink of the State of Nevada. 5

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Chapter 235 of NRS is hereby amended by adding 1
thereto a new section to read as follows: 2
The traditional Basque drink known as the Picon Punch is 3
hereby designated as the official state drink of the State of Nevada. 4
