STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six
AN ACT
relative to the regulation of funeral directors.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
22:1 New Section; Embalmers and Funeral Directors. Amend RSA 325 by inserting after section 14 the following new section:
325:14-a Associate Funeral Directors.
No person shall engage or hold himself or herself out as engaged in being an associate funeral director, unless the person:
I. Holds an associate funeral director's license from the office of professional licensure and certification;
II. Has passed such examinations approved by the board to ascertain efficiency and qualifications to engage in being an associate funeral director;
III. Has completed a funeral director certificate program approved by the board; and
IV. Has completed a one-year course in apprenticeship under the supervision of a duly licensed or registered funeral director or embalmer.
22:2 Embalmers and Funeral Directors; Associate Funeral Director. Amend RSA 325:1, II to read as follows:
II. "Associate funeral director" means an individual who is duly licensed[

22:3 Embalmers and Funeral Directors; Rulemaking Authority. Amend the introductory paragraph of RSA 325:9, II to read as follows:
