STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

AN ACT
relative to minimum nursing home staffing standards.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Residential Care and Health Facility Licensing; Rules; Nursing Home Staffing Standards. Amend RSA 151:9, I by inserting after subparagraph (p) the following new subparagraph:
(q) Staffing standards for nursing homes licensed under this chapter, which shall be not less than: one registered nurse (RN) 24 hours per day; a minimum of .75 RN hours per resident per day; .55 licensed practical nurse (LPN) hours per resident per day; and 4.1 total nursing hours per resident per day.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
