STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

AN ACT
requiring a property owner to pay all taxes or charges on their property prior to being issued certain building or occupancy permits.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Paragraph; Planning and Zoning; Building Permits; Building Permits to be Withheld in Certain Cases. Amend RSA 676:12 by inserting after paragraph VI the following new paragraph:
VII. The building inspector may be authorized by the local legislative body to not issue a building or occupancy permit under this section without any and all back taxes or other charges due first being paid.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
