STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

A RESOLUTION
urging New Hampshire counties to establish co-ed sports leagues.

Whereas, inclusive recreational opportunities foster community engagement, personal development, and social cohesion across all demographics; and
Whereas, traditional gender-segregated sports leagues may unintentionally reinforce outdated norms and limit participation for individuals who do not identify with binary gender categories; and
Whereas, co-ed sports leagues promote equality, mutual respect, and teamwork among participants of all genders; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the counties are hereby urged to establish and support co-ed sports leagues that encourage men and women to compete together voluntarily, therefore allowing individuals identifying as transgender to compete voluntarily outside of more forceful gender-based competition within the public school system.
That the counties actively pursue fundraising strategies to ensure the sustainability and growth of these co-ed sports leagues.
That the house clerk is hereby directed to transmit copies of this resolution to each county in the state and the New Hampshire Association of Counties.
