STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

A RESOLUTION
recognizing and celebrating the enduring relationship between the state of New Hampshire and Canada.

Whereas, the state of New Hampshire and Canada have shared a long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship rooted in geographic proximity, shared values, and deep economic, cultural, and familial ties; and
Whereas, tourism between New Hampshire and Canada has historically contributed significantly to the economies of both regions, with Canadian visitors enriching New Hampshire’s communities and supporting local businesses, particularly in the White Mountains and North Country; and
Whereas, the people of New Hampshire and Canada have long enjoyed cultural exchanges, academic collaborations, and shared heritage, contributing to a vibrant and interconnected regional identity; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the state of New Hampshire formally recognizes and celebrates its enduring relationship with Canada, and reaffirms its commitment to fostering continued cooperation in trade, tourism, cultural exchange, and diplomatic engagement; and
That the house clerk transmit copies of this resolution to:
I. The Right Honorable Prime Minister of Canada, as a gesture of enduring friendship and shared prosperity between the state of New Hampshire and the people of Canada; and
II. The Honorable Premier of Québec, in recognition of the deep historical, cultural, and economic ties between New Hampshire and the province of Québec.
