WHEREAS, a member of the Finance Committee for the last three of his four terms, Harry Bean was known for his quiet yet collegial presence, not speaking often, but when he did, he spoke with an articulate frankness, usually in a self-deprecating way; and
WHEREAS, a native of Belknap County, Harry Bean spent his life working and supporting his community and is widely credited for helping to ensure the longevity and continued operation of Gunstock Mountain; and
WHEREAS, Harry Bean was a figure larger than life, as evidenced by being a world champion arm wrestler, portraying Santa Claus for community children, and taking care of his two Great Danes; and
WHEREAS, above all, Harry H. Bean was a devoted family man, who cherished his time with his wife Priscilla, his son, daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the House of Representatives in Regular Session convened, Harry H. Bean be granted the highest praise and accolades and our profound thanks for his service to the state, and the town he called home for many years; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that expressions of our most heartfelt sympathy be extended to his family and that a suitable copy of this Resolution be prepared for presentation to them.
