STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

AN ACT
altering the appointment process for the board of tax and land appeals.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

64:1 Board of Tax and Land Appeals; Appointment; Term; Chairman. Amend RSA 71-B:2 to read as follows:
71-B:2 Appointment; Term; Chairman. The members of the board shall
be appointed by and
serve at the pleasure of the governor and council, rather than fixed terms. The governor and council shall appoint one member as chairman to serve in that capacity for the duration of his or her term. The executive council shall hold a hearing prior to confirmation according to the procedures under RSA 4:44.

64:2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
