STATEMENT
 This bill appropriates $10
million in capital construction funds from the General Fund to the Department
of Environmental Protection to dredge the Black Creek and Wreck Pond, which are
located in Spring Lake Heights, Spring Lake and Sea Girt, Monmouth County.
During heavy rainfalls, significant pollution from these bodies of water drain
into the ocean, causing beach closures in Spring Lake. This project should
serve to mitigate this problem and prevent future beach closures.
