reported, this bill extends the date by which the Governor�s Fiscal Year 2027
budget message is to be transmitted to the Legislature to Tuesday, March 10,
2026.� Current law requires the budget message to be transmitted to the
Legislature on or before the fourth Tuesday in February.� Similar extensions
have been provided in the past for the first budget messages transmitted by
other Governors.
