control spraying applications.

An Act

concerning mosquito control and supplementing
Title 26 of the Revised Statutes.

Be It
Enacted
by the Senate and General Assembly of
the State of New Jersey:

���� 1.� a.� Notwithstanding the
provisions of any law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, every county
mosquito control agency or commercial pesticide operator shall notify all
residents located within or adjacent to a mosquito spraying application at least
five days prior to conducting the mosquito spraying application.

���� b.� The notification required
pursuant to subsection a. of this section shall be by telephone or regular
certified mail and shall include the following information, at a minimum:

���� (1) the date and time that the
mosquito spraying application will occur; and

���� (2) the types of chemicals
that will be used during the mosquito spraying application.

���� 2.� This act shall take effect
immediately.

STATEMENT

���� This bill would require county
mosquito control agencies and commercial pesticide operators to notify all
residents located within or adjacent to a mosquito spraying application at
least five days prior to conducting the mosquito spraying application.� The
notification would be required to be by telephone or regular certified mail and
would be required to include, at a minimum: (1) the date and time that the
mosquito spraying application will occur; and (2) the types of chemicals that
will be used during the mosquito spraying application.
