clerk, or municipal clerk.

An Act
concerning the requirements for candidate nominating
petition forms and supplementing Title 19 of the Revised Statutes.

Be It
Enacted
by the Senate and General Assembly of
the State of New Jersey:

���� 1.��� Any petition of
nomination submitted by a candidate to be voted for at the general election
shall be the official form for such petitions made available by the Secretary
of State, the county clerk, or the municipal clerk, as appropriate, in
accordance with the provisions of chapter 13 of Title 19 of the Revised
Statutes.

���� 2.��� Any petition of
nomination submitted by a candidate to be voted for at the primary election by
the voters of a political party shall be the official form for such petitions
made available by the Secretary of State, the county clerk, or the municipal
clerk, as appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of chapter 23 of Title
19 of the Revised Statutes.

���� 3.��� This act shall take
effect immediately.

STATEMENT

���� This bill requires primary and
general election candidates to use the nominating petition forms made available
by the Secretary of State, a county clerk, or a municipal clerk.

���� Under the bill, any petition
of nomination submitted by a candidate to be voted for at the general election,
or at the primary election by the voters of a political party, will be required
to be the official form for such petitions made available by the Secretary of
State, the county clerk, or the municipal clerk, as appropriate.
