as Christina Grimmie Day in New Jersey.

Whereas,

Christina Grimmie was a proud New Jersey native who grew up in Marlton, New
Jersey and rose to national prominence as a talented singer and songwriter; and

Whereas,

Christina began her journey with music at a young age and loved to sing and
write music; and

Whereas,

Christina first built a devoted following in the early days of YouTube by
sharing her music online, eventually amassing hundreds of millions of views and
a global fan base; and

Whereas,

Christinas accomplishments also included successfully releasing her
first independent extended play, Find Me, which debuted at number two on
iTunes; amassing almost 3.5 million YouTube subscribers; finishing top three on
season six of NBC's The Voice; performing on multiple television shows
including The Ellen Show and Dancing with the Stars; having multiple album
and single releases in the top 10 on iTunes; and winning an American Music
Award in 2011 for New Media: Best Female, among many others; and

Whereas,

Tragically, Christinas life was taken by a gunman following a concert in
Orlando, Florida in June 2016; and

Whereas,

In the wake of this tragedy, Christinas family established the Christina
Grimmie Foundation to support individuals and families facing similar
unexpected hardships and crises, specifically families who have lost a loved
one to gun violence; and

Whereas,

Christinas artistry, voice, and connection with her audience continue to
resonate with fans around the world; and

Whereas,

Christinas music and performances remain widely celebrated and continue to
inspire new generations; and

Whereas,

June 2026 will mark the 10-year anniversary of Christinas passing; and

Whereas,

It is altogether fitting and proper to designate June 10

as Christina Grimmie Day to recognize
Christinas lasting cultural impact, honor her legacy as a New Jersey artist,
