SYNOPSIS
���� Urges Supreme Court to establish payment kiosks for
court-ordered obligations.

Resolution
urging the courts to utilize
additional convenient payment options.
Whereas,
Payment kiosk technology is available in New Jersey as an alternative payment
option for child support payments not made through payroll withholdings; and
Whereas,
An individual can, at
present, go online or to specific locations in the community, including drug
stores and shopping centers, to use this technology; and
Whereas,
The use of payment kiosks, with secure, up to date technology could
significantly increase the accessibility of payment venues for fines, fees and
other court-ordered assessments for persons with limited internet access or
access to municipal buildings; and
Whereas,
Whether existing kiosk payment venues are modified to include additional types
of payments, or additional venues, exclusively dedicated to court assessments
are considered, such as at joint or shared municipal court facilities, this
technology should increasingly be available for processing court-ordered
assessments; now, therefore,

Resolved
by the General Assembly of the State
of New Jersey:
���� 1.��� The General Assembly
respectfully urges the New Jersey Supreme Court to establish payment kiosks,
similar to the payment kiosks available through the New Jersey Child Support
program for the processing of court-ordered assessments.
���� 2.��� Copies of this
resolution, as filed with the Secretary of State, shall be transmitted by the
Clerk of the General Assembly to the Administrative Director of the Courts and
the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of State of New Jersey.

Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court to establish payment kiosks for
the processing of court-ordered assessments.
