����� The Senate Transportation Committee reports favorably
Senate Bill No. 1505.

����� As reported,
this bill directs the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle
Commission, in consultation with the Department of State, to coordinate with
the Republic of Ireland to enter into a reciprocity agreement whereby an
eligible applicant may receive a driver�s license without having to retake a driving
knowledge test or driving skills test.� Specifically, under the reciprocity
agreement, a person with a valid New Jersey driver�s license may apply for and
receive a Republic of Ireland driver�s license, and a person with a valid
Republic of Ireland driver�s license may apply for and receive a New Jersey
driver�s license, without having to retake a driving knowledge test or driving
skills test, provided that the applicant meets certain requirements under the
reciprocity agreement.�
