Historic Preservation Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 2786.

This
bill provides that if a State agency enters into a State contract for the
licensing of software applications designed to run on generally available
desktop or server hardware, the software cannot limit the ability of the State
agency to install or run the software on the hardware of the State agency�s
choosing.

����� This bill was prefiled for introduction in the
2026-2027 session pending technical review.� As reported, the bill includes the
changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
