An Act

concerning the education of certain children and
supplementing chapter 38 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.

Be It
Enacted
by the Senate and General Assembly of
the State of New Jersey:

���� 1.��� Notwithstanding any
provision of law to the contrary, any child under the care, custody or
supervision of the Division of Child Protection and Permanency in the
Department of Children and Families, including a child placed in a resource
family home or in a kinship care home, shall not be home-schooled and shall be
enrolled in a public or nonpublic school.

���� 2.��� This act shall take
effect immediately.

STATEMENT

���� This bill provides that
children under the care, custody or supervision of the Division of Child
Protection and Permanency, including children placed in resource family homes
or in kinship care homes, may not be home-schooled and are required to be enrolled
in a public or nonpublic school.
