Enacted
by the Senate and General Assembly of
the State of New Jersey:
���� 1.��� In addition to the
amounts appropriated under P.L.2025, c.74, the annual appropriations act for
the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, there is appropriated from the General
Fund the following amount for the purpose specified:

Public Broadcasting � NJTV Supplemental Aid����� ($5,000,000)
The amount hereinabove appropriated for Support of Public Broadcasting �
NJTV Supplemental Aid shall be disbursed to the non-profit corporation or other
entity that is authorized by the State Treasurer to conduct the operations of
the public broadcasting system, pursuant to section 6 of P.L.2010, c.104
(C.48:23-23), to support public broadcasting programming, subject to the approval
of the Director of the Division of Budget and Accounting.� The non-profit
corporation or other entity that is authorized by the State Treasurer to
conduct the operations of the public broadcasting system, pursuant to section 6
of P.L.2010, c.104 (C.48:23-23), shall use the monies hereinabove appropriated
in accordance with such conditions and requirements established in accordance
with a memorandum of understanding between the Executive Director of the New
Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority and the most senior executive employed at
the non-profit corporation or other entity that is authorized by the State
Treasurer to conduct the operations of the public broadcasting system pursuant
to section 6 of P.L.2010, c.104 (C.48:23-23).� The memorandum of understanding
shall require, at minimum, the non-profit corporation or other entity that is
authorized by the State Treasurer to conduct the operations of the public
broadcasting system, pursuant to section 6 of P.L.2010, c.104 (C.48:23-23), to
use the amount hereinabove appropriated solely for the purpose of supporting
public broadcasting.
���� 2.��� This act shall take
effect immediately.
STATEMENT
���� This bill supplements the FY
2026 Appropriations Act and appropriates $5 million to the non-profit
corporation or other entity authorized by the State Treasurer to conduct
operations of the public broadcasting system to support public broadcasting
programing.� Under the bill, the New Jersey Public Broadcasting Authority and the
non-profit corporation or other entity authorized by the State Treasurer to
conduct operations of the public broadcasting system are required to enter into
a memorandum of understanding prior to the disbursement of funds.
