STATEMENT
 This bill requires the
Department of Education to ensure that the results of any State assessment are
provided to public schools no later than 30 days prior to the last day of each
school year. The bill also provides that no later than 15 days following the
receipt of State assessment results, a public school would provide to the
parents or guardians of a student enrolled in the public school the students
results on the State assessment.
 Current State regulations
require chief school administrators to provide educators, parents, and students
with the results of State assessments within 30 days of receipt of the results
from the department. However, State law and regulations do not establish a
deadline by which the department is required to provide State assessment
results to public schools.
 This bill would require the
department to provide State assessment results to public schools no later than
30 days prior to the last day of each school year. The bill would also require
public schools to provide State assessment results to parents and guardians of
students enrolled in the public school no later than 15 days after receiving
the results from the department.
