blood type upon request.

An Act

concerning driver�s licenses and supplementing
Title 39 of the Revised Statutes.

Be It
Enacted
by the Senate and General Assembly of
the State of New Jersey:

���� 1.��� In addition to the
requirements for the form and content of a driver�s license issued under
R.S.39:3-10 and a probationary license issued under section 4 of P.L.1950,
c.127 (C.39:3-13.4), each initial driver�s license, and each renewal thereof,
and each probationary license issued after the effective date of
P.L. , c.
(C. ) (pending before the Legislature
as this bill) shall display the license holder�s blood type upon request by the
license holder.� The license holder�s blood type shall be displayed in a manner
and fashion prescribed by the Chief Administrator of the New Jersey Motor
Vehicle Commission.

���� 2.��� This act shall take
effect on the first day of the ninth month following enactment.� However, the
chief administrator may take anticipatory actions in advance of that date as
may be necessary for the timely implementation of this act.

STATEMENT

���� This bill requires a driver�s
license and probationary driver�s license to display the license holder�s blood
type upon request by the license holder.� Under the bill, the license holder�s
blood type is to be displayed in a manner and fashion prescribed by the Chief
Administrator of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.
