AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY FOR SUBSCRIBER FEES FOR THE DIGITAL TRUNKED RADIO
COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

SECTION 1.
APPROPRIATION.--Two million eight hundred
thousand dollars ($2,800,000) is appropriated from the general
fund to the department of information technology for
expenditure in fiscal year 2027 and subsequent fiscal years to
fund the payment of subscriber fees for the digital trunked
radio communications system to municipal, county and tribal
public safety agencies that provide law enforcement, fire,
medical or other emergency services. Any unexpended balance
remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the
general fund.
