        AN ACT to amend the civil rights law, in relation to the right to breast
          feed

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section  1.  Section 79-e of the civil rights law, as added by chapter
     2  98 of the laws of 1994, is amended to read as follows:
     3    § 79-e. Right to breast feed. Notwithstanding any other  provision  of
     4  law, a [mother] PERSON may breast feed [her] THEIR baby in any location,
     5  public  or private, where the [mother] PERSON is otherwise authorized to
     6  be, irrespective of whether or not the nipple of the [mother's] PERSON'S
     7  breast is covered during or incidental to the breast feeding.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
