          tee on Codes

        AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation  to  designating
          security  officers  for  the village court of the village of Pleasant-
          ville as peace officers

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
     2  adding a new subdivision 60 to read as follows:
     3    60. EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE COURT OF  THE  VILLAGE  OF  PLEASANTVILLE
     4  SERVING  AS  SECURITY OFFICERS AT SUCH VILLAGE COURT; PROVIDED, HOWEVER,
     5  THAT NOTHING IN THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DEEMED TO AUTHORIZE SUCH OFFI-
     6  CER TO CARRY, POSSESS, REPAIR OR DISPOSE OF A FIREARM UNLESS THE  APPRO-
     7  PRIATE  LICENSE  THEREFOR  HAS BEEN ISSUED PURSUANT TO SECTION 400.00 OF
     8  THE PENAL LAW.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
