        AN ACT to amend the public health law,  in  relation  to  directing  the
          department  of  health  to establish and maintain a menopause informa-
          tional and resource webpage on the department website

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section 1. Section 266 of the public health law is amended by adding a
     2  new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
     3    7.  MENOPAUSE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION, THE COMMISSIONER SHALL
     4  ESTABLISH INFORMATIONAL MATERIALS  AND  RESOURCES,  NO  LATER  THAN  ONE
     5  HUNDRED  EIGHTY DAYS AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SUBDIVISION, WHICH
     6  SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: (A)  STAGES  OF  MENOPAUSE;  WHICH
     7  INCLUDE  PERIMENOPAUSE,  MENOPAUSE, AND POSTMENOPAUSE; (B) TREATMENT AND
     8  MANAGEMENT CARE FOR PERIMENOPAUSE, MENOPAUSE AND POSTMENOPAUSE; AND  (C)
     9  SYMPTOMS AND PHYSICAL COMPLICATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH PERIMENOPAUSE, MENO-
    10  PAUSE OR POSTMENOPAUSE.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
