        AN  ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to dedicating a portion of
          the state highway system to the Lemcke Brothers Military Service

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-s to
     2  read as follows:
     3    §  344-S.  PORTION  OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO BE DEDICATED TO THE
     4  LEMCKE BROTHERS MILITARY SERVICE.  ALL THAT PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY
     5  SYSTEM CONSTITUTING STATE ROUTE 18, KNOWN AS PARMA CENTER ROAD,  IN  THE
     6  TOWN OF PARMA, COUNTY OF MONROE, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE ROUTES
     7  8  AND  261, KNOWN AS MANITOU ROAD, TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE ROUTE
     8  259, KNOWN AS HILTON-PARMA CORNERS  ROAD,  SHALL  BE  DEDICATED  TO  THE
     9  LEMCKE BROTHERS MILITARY SERVICE.
    10    §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
    11  lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state  highway  system
    12  as  dedicated  pursuant  to  section one of this act, provided that such
    13  signing shall state "Highway Dedicated to The Lemcke  Brothers  Military
    14  Service".    However,  to  avoid  confusion  and  to  limit any possible
    15  disruption of commerce, the dedication called for  pursuant  to  section
    16  one  of this act shall be one of ceremonial nature and the official name
    17  of such highway shall not be changed as a result of this act.
    18    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
