Congratulating the Marlboro High School Boys Bowling Team upon the occasion of winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Division II State Championship

        CONGRATULATING   the  Marlboro  High  School  Boys
        Bowling Team upon the occasion of  winning  the  New
        York  State  Public High School Athletic Association
        Division II State Championship

  WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative  Body  to  commend  the
accomplishments of student athletes whose dedication and teamwork embody
the highest ideals of scholastic athletics; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
congratulate the Marlboro High School Boys Bowling Team upon winning the
2026 NYSPHSAA Division II State Championship; and

  WHEREAS,  The  Marlboro  Dukes held an impressive 15-1 record in the
2025-2026 season, culminating in the Section IX Division II Championship
and the NYSPHSAA Division II State Championship title; and

  WHEREAS,  This  achievement  marks  the  second  consecutive   State
Championship  victory  for  the  Marlboro  Dukes, who first captured the
NYSPHSAA Division II State Championship in March 2025, and secures their
legacy among elite high school bowling programs; and

  WHEREAS, The Marlboro Dukes Bowling program was established  in  the
2021-2022   school  year  with  a  team  of  15  student  athletes,  who
immediately achieved success with  wins  in  both  the  Boys  and  Girls
Section IX Division II Championships; and

  WHEREAS,  The  success of the Marlboro Dukes is a testament not only
to their athleticism, but  to  the  leadership  of  Head  Coach  Michele
Landis,  the  support  of  the students' families and community, and the
strong sense of camaraderie within the team; and

  WHEREAS, In the five years since its founding,  the  Marlboro  Dukes
Bowling   program   has   developed  student  athletes  who  are  worthy
competitors committed to teamwork and excellence; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
congratulate  the members of the Marlboro High School Boys Bowling Team:
Zachery Moulds, Carson Palmer, Logan Dawes, Matthes Lersch,  Christopher
Moulds,  Andrez  Smith  Vasquez,  Patrick Tarsio, Ryan Tarsio, and Coach
Michele Landis upon the occasion of winning  the  2026  New  York  State
Public  High School Athletic Association Division II State Championship;
and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted  to  members  of the Marlboro High School Boys Bowling Team,
Coach Michele Landis and Athletic Director Philip Cancellaro.
