        CONGRATULATING Deputy Chief Joseph Twitty upon the
        occasion of his retirement from the Niskayuna Police
        Department

  WHEREAS,  It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished officers and citizens who devote themselves to
public  service,  demonstrating  exceptional  courage,  integrity,   and
diligence   in  safeguarding  the  welfare  of  the  citizens  of  their
communities and this great Empire State; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing  traditions,  this  Legislative  Body  is  justly proud to
congratulate Deputy  Chief  Joseph  Twitty  upon  the  occasion  of  his
retirement  from  the  Niskayuna  Police  Department  after  26 years of
dedicated service; and

  WHEREAS, Joseph  Twitty  began  his  distinguished  law  enforcement
career in 2000 after graduating from the Zone 5 Regional Law Enforcement
Training  Academy,  embarking  upon  a career marked by professionalism,
leadership, and an unwavering commitment to public safety; and

  WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure with the Niskayuna Police Department,
Joseph Twitty served with distinction  as  both  a  patrol  officer  and
sergeant  before  advancing  to the Detective Division in 2015, where he
further served as Detective Sergeant for seven years; and

  WHEREAS, Although Deputy Chief Joseph Twitty concludes his career in
an administrative leadership role, some of his most  cherished  memories
stem  from  his years supervising the afternoon sergeant shift, which he
fondly described as fast-paced, unpredictable, and never boring; and

  WHEREAS, Over the course of a remarkable 26-year career filled  with
accomplishments,  commendations,  and  professional achievements, Deputy
Chief Joseph  Twitty  has  exemplified  the  highest  standards  of  law
enforcement  service  and  leaves behind a lasting legacy of dedication,
integrity, and commitment to the residents of the Town of Niskayuna; and

  WHEREAS, As a mentor, role model, and steadfast presence within  the
Niskayuna  Police  Department, Deputy Chief Joseph Twitty has earned the
respect and admiration of his colleagues, as well as  the  gratitude  of
the  community,  through his compassionate service, tireless work ethic,
and steadfast leadership; and

  WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those  public
servants  who  unselfishly  dedicate  their lives to the preservation of
order, the protection of others, and the betterment of their communities
are worthy of the highest praise and recognition for their noble service
and enduring contributions; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Deputy  Chief  Joseph  Twitty upon the occasion of his retirement
from the Niskayuna Police Department, and to extend to him  its  sincere

gratitude  and  best  wishes  for  health, happiness, and success in all
future endeavors; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Deputy Chief Joseph Twitty.
