        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to the  eligible  creden-
          tials  of faculty members in a program of studies leading to a certif-
          icate in psychoanalysis

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section  1.  Section  8405 of the education law is amended by adding a
     2  new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4. FACULTY OF A PROGRAM OF STUDY LEADING TO CERTIFICATE IN PSYCHOANAL-
     4  YSIS. NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY  OTHER  PROVISION  OF  LAW,  LICENSURE  AS  A
     5  LICENSED  PSYCHOANALYST  OR  AS A LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER WITH A
     6  CERTIFICATE  IN  PSYCHOANALYSIS  SHALL  FULLY  SATISFY  THE  EDUCATIONAL
     7  REQUIREMENT  NECESSARY  TO  SERVE  AS  A  FACULTY MEMBER OF A PROGRAM OF
     8  STUDIES IN A  PSYCHOANALYTIC  INSTITUTE  LEADING  TO  A  CERTIFICATE  IN
     9  PSYCHOANALYSIS.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
