          printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary

        AN  ACT  to amend the judiciary law, in relation to the number of surro-
          gate's court judges in Bronx County

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section 1. Section 179 of the judiciary law, as amended by chapter 240
     2  of the laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
     3    § 179. Surrogates, New York county, BRONX COUNTY and Kings county. The
     4  surrogate's  courts  of  New  York county, BRONX COUNTY and Kings county
     5  shall each consist of two surrogates.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
