        Introduced  by  Sen. SALAZAR -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
          ment Operations

        AN ACT to amend the executive law,  in  relation  to  protecting  remote
          workers  who  reside  out-of-state under New York state's human rights
          law

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section  1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 298-b
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  298-B.  APPLICATION  OF  ARTICLE  TO  OUT-OF-STATE  EMPLOYEES.  THE
     4  PROVISIONS  OF  THIS  ARTICLE  SHALL  APPLY  AS  HEREINAFTER PROVIDED TO
     5  EMPLOYERS THAT MAINTAIN A PHYSICAL ADDRESS IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK  AND
     6  TO  EMPLOYEES,  REGARDLESS  OF THE LOCATION WHERE SUCH EMPLOYEES PERFORM
     7  WORK.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
