        Introduced  by  Sens. PERSAUD, CLEARE -- read twice and ordered printed,
          and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Social Services

        AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to  increasing  the
          amount  certain  individuals  are eligible for when receiving enhanced
          residential care

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section 1. Paragraph (e) of subdivision 2 of section 209 of the social
     2  services  law,  as  amended  by section 2 of part H of chapter 56 of the
     3  laws of 2024, is amended to read as follows:
     4    (e)  On  and  after  January   first,   two   thousand   [twenty-four]
     5  TWENTY-FIVE,  (i) for an eligible individual receiving enhanced residen-
     6  tial care, [$1,637.00]  $1,768.00;  and  (ii)  for  an  eligible  couple
     7  receiving  enhanced  residential care, two times the amount set forth in
     8  subparagraph (i) of this paragraph.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect December 31, 2025.
