          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules

        AN ACT to amend the executive law and the public health law, in relation
          to providing notification to  victims  of  crime  and  sexual  offense
          victims about the address confidentiality program

          THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section 1.  Section 641 of the executive law is amended  by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4.  ENSURE  THAT  CRIME  VICTIMS  RECEIVE  NOTIFICATION OF INFORMATION
     4  RELATED TO THE ADDRESS CONFIDENTIALITY PROGRAM ESTABLISHED  PURSUANT  TO
     5  SECTION ONE HUNDRED EIGHT OF THIS CHAPTER.
     6    §  2.  Subparagraphs  7  and  8  of  paragraph (a) of subdivision 6 of
     7  section 2805-i of the public health law, as added by chapter 407 of  the
     8  laws  of  2018, are amended and a new subparagraph 9 is added to read as
     9  follows:
    10    (7) be notified by the prosecutorial agency with jurisdiction of judi-
    11  cial proceedings relating to their case in accordance with article twen-
    12  ty-three of the executive law; [and]
    13    (8) decide whether or not the victim wishes to report the  offense  to
    14  law enforcement[.]; AND
    15    (9) RECEIVE INFORMATION RELATED TO THE ADDRESS CONFIDENTIALITY PROGRAM
    16  ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO SECTION ONE HUNDRED EIGHT OF THE EXECUTIVE LAW.
    17    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
