          printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation

        AN ACT to amend chapter 306 of the laws of 2011  authorizing  owners  of
          residential real property in high risk brush fire areas in the borough
          of  Staten  Island  to  cut  and  remove reeds from their property, in
          relation to the effectiveness thereof

          THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
        BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

     1    Section  1.  Section  3 of chapter 306 of the laws of 2011 authorizing
     2  owners of residential real property in high risk brush fire areas in the
     3  borough of Staten Island to cut and remove reeds from their property, as
     4  amended by chapter 216 of the laws  of  2025,  is  amended  to  read  as
     5  follows:
     6    §  3.  This  act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
     7  deemed repealed  December 31, [2026] 2027.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
