A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E NC PREKINDERGARTEN (NC PRE -K) FUNDS FO R 2
IREDELL COUNTY PARTNERSHIP FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, INC. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to Iredell County 5
Partnership for Young Children, Inc., the sum of two hundred sixty thousand five hundred 6
thirty-eight dollars ($260,538) in recurring funds beginning in the 2026 -2027 fiscal year for the 7
NC Prekindergarten (NC Pre -K) program in Iredell County. These funds will provide Iredell 8
County with the same funding level per child as Beaufort County. 9
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2026. 10
