A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO FORSYTH COUNTY TO ASSIST THE COUNTY 2
AND THE CITY OF WINS TON-SALEM IN CREATIN G A JOINT EMERGENCY 3
OPERATIONS CENTER. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 6
Budget and Management the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for 7
the 2026-2027 fiscal year to be allocated in the form of a grant to Forsyth County to assist th e 8
County and the City of Winston -Salem in creating a joint city -county emergency operations 9
center to improve coordination and response during emergencies. 10
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2026. 11
