A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR A DIABETES RESEARCH INSTITUTE AT THE 2
UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Governors 5
of The University of North Carolina the sum of fifty million dollars ($50,000,000) in 6
nonrecurring funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to be allocated to the University of North 7
Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) to develop a diabetes research institute at UNC-CH. 8
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 9
