A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS FOR A NEW BI OTECHNOLOGY EXHIBIT AND 2
LABORATORY AT THE NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF LIFE AND SCIENCE. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) in 6
nonrecurring funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to The North 7
Carolina Museum of Life and Science, Inc., to create a new biotechnology exhibit and laboratory 8
to showcase North Carolina's biotechnology achievements and promote interest in STEM 9
careers. 10
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 11
