A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO PROVIDE TH AT VACANCIES ON THE HAYWOOD COUNTY BOARD OF 2
COMMISSIONERS ARE FILLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH G.S. 153A-27. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. G.S. 153A-27.1(h) reads as rewritten: 5
"(h) This section shall apply only in the following counties: Alamance, Alexander, 6
Alleghany, Avery, Beaufort, Brunswick, Buncombe, Caldwell, Carteret, Cherokee, Clay, 7
Cleveland, Cumberland, Dare, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Graham, Guilford, Harnett, Haywood, 8
Henderson, Hyde, Jackson, Lee, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Moore, 9
Onslow, Pender, Polk, Randolph, Rockingham, Rutherford, Sampson, Stanly, Stokes, 10
Transylvania, and Yancey." 11
SECTION 2. This act applies to Haywood County only. 12
SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law and applies to vacancies 13
filled on or after that date. 14
