A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FU NDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A BUILDING IN 2
WINSTON-SALEM FOR TH E UNIVERSITY OF NORT H CAROLINA SCHOOL OF 3
THE ARTS. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding G.S. 143C-5-2 and Article 6 of Chapter 146 of the 6
General Statutes, there is appropriated from the General Fund to the Board of Trustees of The 7
University of North Carolina the sum of four million five hundred thousand dollars ($4,500,000) 8
in nonrecurring funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to be used to purchase certain real property, 9
and improvements thereon, adjacent to the Stevens Center, located at 411 W. 4th Street in 10
Winston-Salem. 11
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 12
