A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO BLUE STAR FAMILIES, INC., TO SUPPORT ITS 2
PROGRAMS. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for 6
the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Blue Star Families, Inc., a nonprofit 7
organization, to be used as follows: 8
(1) Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to help launch the Greater 9
Fayetteville Regional Chapter for Military Spouses Career Development 10
Programs. 11
(2) Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for Family Strengthen ing 12
Programs. 13
(3) Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for Military and Veteran 14
Caregiver Services. 15
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 16
