A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS TO ESTABLISH A DRUG TESTING LAB AT THE 2
ONSLOW COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of two hundred nine thousand dollars ($209,000) in 6
nonrecurring funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Onslow County 7
to establish a drug testing laboratory at the Sheriff's Office to ensure timely and accurate drug 8
testing results for law enforcement purposes. 9
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 10
