A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS TO CERTAIN C OMMUNITY COLLEGES TO 2
ESTABLISH TRAINING SITES FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT NURSE EXAMINERS. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1.(a) There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Community 5
Colleges System Office the sum of seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) in nonrecurring 6
funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to be allocated to Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and 7
Wake Technical Community College in equal amounts to establish training sites for certification 8
as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. 9
SECTION 1.(b) Funds allocated pursuant to subsection (a) of this section shall be 10
used as follows by each community college: 11
(1) Up to one hundred five thousand dollars ($105,000) shall be used to hire one 12
full-time faculty member. 13
(2) Up to one hundred five thousand dollars ($105,000) shall be used to hire one 14
clinical coordinator. 15
(3) Up to forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) shall be used for equipment and 16
supplies. 17
(4) Up to ninety -five thousand dollars ($95,000) shall be used for program 18
development and accreditation costs. 19
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law. 20
