A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT AWARDING A LE GISLATIVE SALARY INCREASE TO EMPLOYEES O F THE 2
NORTH CAROLINA FOREST SERVICE AND APPROP RIATING FUNDS FOR TH AT 3
PURPOSE. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. Appropriation. – There is appropriated from the General Fund to the 6
North Carolina Forest Service (NCFS) the sum of: 7
(1) Two million six hundred thousand dollars ($2,600,000) in recurring funds for 8
the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide an across -the-board salary increase of 9
seven and one-half percent (7.5%) to NCFS employees, effective July 1, 2025. 10
(2) Five million two hundred thousand dollars ($5,200,000) in recurring funds for 11
the 2026 -2027 fiscal year to provide an additional across -the-board salary 12
increase of seven and one-half percent (7.5%) to NCFS employees, effective 13
July 1, 2026. 14
SECTION 2. Effective Date. – This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 15
