A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS TO THE CITY OF GREENSBORO FOR TH E NC 2
FOLK FEST AND FOR THE 2025 FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. The sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) in nonrecurring 5
funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 6
Budget and Management to provide a grant to the City of Greensboro (City) to be allocated for 7
the following purposes: 8
(1) Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for the provision of law 9
enforcement, security, and transportation services associated with the City's 10
designation as a training camp host for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. 11
(2) Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for expenses associated with 12
the 2025 North Carolina Folk Festival. 13
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 14
