A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIAT E FUNDS TO THE HARMO NY EMPOWERMENT LIFE 2
CENTER FOR EXPANSION OF ITS PROGRAM TO ADDITIONAL COUNTIES. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 5
Budget and Management the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in nonrecurring 6
funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to the Harmony Empowerment 7
Life Center, a nonprofit organization, to help expand their "Never Limit An Athlete's Mind" 8
program which aids minorities and their families to improve mental health and prepare them for 9
future opportunities into Wake, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Mecklenburg, Unio n, and Anson 10
Counties. 11
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 12
