A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO FORSYTH COUNTY TO SUPPORT THE FAMILY 2
AND COMMUNITY WELLNE SS INITIATIVE AND WO RK-BASED LEARNING 3
PARENT PROGRAM AND SERVICE-LEARNING PROJECT. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Office of State 6
Budget and Management the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in nonrecurring 7
funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to provide a directed grant to Forsyth County to be used as 8
follows: 9
(1) To support the Family and Community Wellness Initiative by funding two 10
mobile units to provide essential health, social services, and nutritional 11
support to residents of Forsyth, Davidson, Davie, Guilford, Randolph, Stokes, 12
and Yadkin Counties. 13
(2) To establish a work -based learning parent program and service -learning 14
project for adult learners to enhance community engagement, economic 15
mobility, and support for families in need. 16
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 17
