A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN 2
SERVICES, DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH, TO SUPPORT THE NORTH CAROLINA 3
COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER ASSOCIATION. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of 6
Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, the sum of one million dollars 7
($1,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2025 -2026 fiscal year to be allocated as a directed 8
grant to the North Carolina Community Health Worker Association, a nonprofit corporation, to 9
fund the association's continued mobilization, training, and certification of community health 10
workers for the North Carolina workforce. 11
SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2025. 12
